Thai Shrimp cake

Thai prawn cake

Ingredients

  • 500g of raw shrimp peeled, deveined
  • 100g of white firm fish, diced
  • 3 tablespoons of light soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/2 reaspoon of grounded white pepper
  • Bread crumb for coating
  • Oil for deep frying

Directions

1 Flat the prawns with knife then roughly chop them
Process the fish in the food processor then add prawns,
Soy Sauce, Salt, Sugar and pepper. Continue processing
for a minute until the ingredients are blended together.

2 Make the small patty shapes out of the mixture.

3 Coat the prawn patties with the bread crumb.

4 Heat up the oil at 160 C and deep fry the prawn cakes until
they are golden brown, set aside

Serve hot as an appertizer with sweet chilli
sauce or tomato sauce.
